Chapter 5008
“Auntie will be here soon, let’s stop talking now and talk when we meet.”
“Okay.”
Serenity ended the call with her aunt.
She said to her husband, “Auntie is on her way to our house. She said she’s been missing Belle for a long time.”
Zachary smiled, “Okay, we’ll go out after Auntie arrives.”
Audrey arrived quickly, and the aunt and nephew chatted for another ten minutes or so. Urged by Audrey, Zachary and his wife finally left together to go back to their respective companies.
Meanwhile, the old lady and Alex York had just arrived at the hospital.
Alex York said to his grandmother, “I can just come and get the results. Grandma doesn’t need to come all the way. Belle is still at home, and my older brother and sister-in-law have to go to work.”
The old lady said, “Your older brother and sister-in-law will arrange everything. Grandma is only out for half a day and will be back at noon.”
She wasn’t worried at all; plenty of relatives were willing to help take care of Belle.
“What if my older brother and sister-in-law are too busy?”
“If they really can’t get away, your brother will take Belle to the company, or you can ask Camryn to look after her. Camryn is free these days.”
Alex York said, “Why didn’t you think of sending her to me? I’d be happy to take Belle with me. If I spend more time with her, maybe I can have a daughter as cute as Belle in the future.”
The old lady smiled and said, “Jasmine has always wanted to take Belle to stay at the Caron family’s house for a while. She’s pregnant with her second child now and wants to have a daughter.”
“But Belle insists on having her mother with her at night before she’ll sleep. During the day, anyone can take care of her, but at night, even your brother can’t handle her.”
“Let’s go print out the results and then show them to Marry. Didn’t your rival bring his mother to the hospital for a check-up today? Did he also register with Marry?”
“Is Grandma here to support me?”
Alex York said with a laugh, “I don’t need Grandma’s support. I really don’t take Dr. Joans, this rival, seriously.”Marry Lord didn’t like Dr. Joans.
Alex York had nothing to worry about.
“Grandma just came to check on you. She knows you don’t need her support.”
The grandmother and grandson talked as they walked.
Alex York helped his grandmother to the outside of Marry Lord’s clinic, letting her sit and wait for him to pick up the test results.
Not long after Alex York left, Dr. Joans arrived in a hurry with his parents.
His family had just returned from the beach and came straight to the hospital.
Even Flower Morgan had come with them.
“Has your appointment been taken?”
Joans’s mother asked, worried that her appointment had been taken.
“Not yet, you have to wait a little longer.”
Dr. Joans checked his appointment time and saw an empty seat next to the old lady, so he let his mother sit down next to her.
He then walked to the clinic entrance and looked inside. When Marry Lord saw him, she nodded as a greeting.
Dr. Joans smiled back and didn’t go in to disturb Marry Lord while she was seeing other patients.
Tomorrow, Marry Lord wouldn’t be seeing patients at the outpatient clinic anymore; she would return to the inpatient ward.
She wouldn’t need to see patients at the outpatient clinic again until next week.
Flower Morgan and Joans’s father stood silently beside Joans’s mother. She knew that Dr. Joans was still resentful of Dr. Lord, after all, she had admired him for many years.
