Married at First Sight

Chapter 5063

“Senior Joans,”

Marry Lord greeted him politely, inviting Dr. Joans to sit down.

Dr. Joans didn’t sit down. He looked at Alex York and said, “I came to see Mr. York. I guessed he was here, and he really is.”

Alex York raised an eyebrow. His rival was looking for him? What, did he want to steal Marry Lord from him?

“Dr. Joans, is there something you need?”

Alex York asked, still seated. “What is it? Let’s talk here.”

Dr. Joans said, “Mr. York, can we go outside to talk? I’d like to invite you to the coffee shop at the street corner.”

Alex York looked helpless, stood up, and said to Marry Lord, “Marry, I’m afraid I won’t be able to drink your tea tonight. I’ll drink it another time when I have time.”

“Dr. Joans, let’s go. You’re buying me coffee.”

Dr. Joans nodded to his aunt, then gave Marry Lord a deep look before following Alex York out.

He had also driven there, so the two of them drove to the coffee shop at the street corner.

Auntie and Marry followed them out, watching the two cars drive away. Auntie said to her niece, “They went to a coffee shop. At most, they’ll just banter; they won’t fight.”

“Whether it’s Senior Joans or Alex York, they both have some manners; they won’t resort to violence,”

Marry Lord said, not worried about a fight.

She just felt bad for Alex York because she and Alex York had gotten too close, which made Senior Joans see Alex York as a rival and constantly cause trouble for him.

“Second Aunt, should I keep my distance from Alex York? I feel like Alex York is being dragged down by me because of his house renovation. Also, because I get along well with Grandma York, I’ve become a little closer to Alex York.”

“Senior Joans sees Alex York as a rival in love and is always targeting him. I feel so bad for Alex York,”

Second Aunt said. “If you’re upright and honest, what are you afraid of? Besides, so what if you get closer to Alex York? You’re unmarried and don’t have a boyfriend, and Alex York is single too.”

“Getting closer isn’t illegal. Dr. Joans just feels inferior to Alex York, which increases his pressure, and that’s why he’s acting this way.””Don’t pay him any mind. You’ve already rejected Dr. Joans, so who cares what he thinks?”

“He already has a backup plan.”

Marry Lord: “…Second Aunt, do you also think Alex York and I are dating?”

“No, I know you two are just friends, neighbors. Second Aunt’s thinking is very pure; I wouldn’t think as complicated as others do.”

Marry Lord chuckled, took her second aunt’s arm, and the two walked into the clinic.

“I always feel like Second Aunt is going to sell me off.”

“How could that be? You’re my niece. I watched you grow up. I love you no less than your cousins do; I treat you like my own daughter. I’m too busy spoiling you to sell you off.” At most, she

‘d just be encouraging Alex York to win Marry’s heart.

Second Aunt really liked Alex York.

The more she looked at him, the more she liked him. She had even secretly taken pictures of Alex York and sent them to her brother and sister-in-law.

Although her brother and sister-in-law couldn’t come back and hadn’t met Alex York in person, Marry’s older brother had met him. After seeing Alex York’s photo, Marry’s parents had no objections.

They didn’t share Marry’s feeling that she wasn’t good enough for Alex York; they thought their child was excellent and Alex York was worthy of her.

As long as Alex York was a good man and sincere towards Marry, they supported their relationship.

“What did you think of Alex York’s house today? Is it nice?”

“A big villa with a front and back yard, understated yet luxurious—that’s how wealthy families are.”

“But his family is really easy to get along with, without any airs of wealth. I met his parents, his uncle, and his aunt today; they were all very approachable and friendly.”

She had a very good impression of Alex York’s elders.
