"Tell the lady that I'm not available. She should leave if there's nothing important.”
"Sure thing."
Right after Sonny ended the intercom, his phone rang. It was Olivia calling.
Sonny took several deep breaths before taking Olivia's call.
"What's the matter, Grandmom?"
"Sonny, I was talking to Luke when Chelsea overheard that you're back in Wiltspoon. She said she wants to talk about setting you up on a date.
"She might head to yours in the next two days. Just ignore her if you can't make time. I've told her many times not to interfere with your life. She's up to something. It's your marriage, so the decision should be in your hands.
"Your mom and your aunt can help if they want.”
Olivia finally saw Chelsea's true colors. Even though Olivia favored Chelsea, Hank and Sonny were the ones there for her in her old age. Her loyalty shifted to Sonny a long time ago.
She no longer bankrolled and favored Chelsea like before. What did she ever get in return anyway?
If she had not played favorites and badmouthed Liberty, Hank would not have gone for a divorce. Had they stayed together, the Browns would have hit the jackpot. Liberty and Serenity were loaded after all.
It was just the Browns' rotten luck.
The Browns lost Liberty, but Sonny would always be part of the family. Luke often gave Olivia reality checks, and now Olivia was completely on Sonny's side.
"Grandmom, Aunt Chelsea is right outside my office building."
Olivia remarked, "Oh, that's quick."
"Don't bother with her, Sonny. I'll head there now to drag her away. I won't have her ruin your day."
"Grandmom, you're up there in years. Don't come over. I'll call Dad to take Aunt Chelsea away. She has a thing for drama. There's no telling what she's cooking up at the entrance if she's not removed."
The resignation was clear in Sonny's voice.
It was just his luck to be stuck with a relative like Chelsea.
No matter how successful he was, Sonny was a Brown through and through. He could turn his back on Chelsea, but not on Hank, Olivia, and Luke.
Since Sonny would be in Olivia and Luke's lives, he could not cut ties with Chelsea.
The only thing Sonny could do was stay away from her.
“Alright. I'll get Hank to go there. Chelsea never learns. Just ignore her. Don't feel obliged to take her calls either."
Chelsea's calls would not get through to Sonny because he blocked Chelsea and her family a while back. They could only give a message to Sonny through Olivia.
Luke would not even give them the time of day.
Hank was done with Chelsea. Though Chelsea would always be his sister, Hank was indifferent toward her. If it were not for Olivia and Luke, Hank would not even have a relationship with Chelsea.
"I know, Grandmom. Tell Aunt Chelsea that my love life is my business. I don't need her to set me up on dates."
It was not as if Chelsea would introduce him to a decent woman. She was only trying to leverage his marriage for her own benefit. Even when Sonny was a kid, Chelsea had nothing on him.
Her manipulation would not even work now that he had been active in business for years.
