After laughing for quite a while, Jane said, "That was when Oliver was a child. He's already in his twenties now."
Lilian said, "Didn't I tell you? When we weren't letting him tag along this time, he even tried to get his son to cry and make a fuss.
"Let's stop talking about that. I'll send him a message, then we'll rest for a bit before going for a stroll."
Jane nodded. "Okay."
Lilian returned to her room and sent Tim a message, informing him that she and Jane had settled in.
Tim replied with a nodding emoji.
Knowing that he was still upset, Lilian sent him another voice message. "If I'm not back in ten days, then you can come over."
Time replied, "Ten days? Are you staying that long? Let's do five. If you don't come home in five days, I'll come over."
"I said ten days, and that's final!”
Tim sounded aggrieved. "Fine. You've been on a plane for several hours and probably spent a long time chatting with your disciples. Hurry up and get some rest. Don't tire yourself out. It's rare for you to be on vacation.
"Your assistant has already referred the patients who wanted to see you to our son. You can relax and enjoy yourself."
"I know. I have disciples and a successor. I can retire anytime.”
As a compassionate physician, she would continue practicing medicine as long as her energy allowed.
Of course, given her current status and reputation, ordinary people could no longer afford to consult her.
Only particularly difficult and challenging cases would prompt her to take on the case personally.
“I'm going to rest now. I'll take a nap, and when I wake up, I'll go out with Jane." Tim replied with a hugging emoji.
Lilian placed her phone on the bedside table and lay down. She slept well and quickly drifted off into dreamland.
An hour later, the two women got up.
Laurence had returned to the office, leaving Noelle at home to accompany them.
When Noelle heard that the two elders wanted to go out for a walk, she immediately took out her phone to arrange for bodyguards to accompany them. Lilian promptly stopped her. "There's no need for them to follow us. Just the three of us. You can drive us around and show us the city."
Noelle said worriedly, "It may not be safe without bodyguards. Someone could abduct you while you're out shopping."
Lilian responded, "Oh, is that so? Then you don't need to come with us. Jane and I can go out by ourselves. We're unfamiliar faces, just two old ladies who won't attract any attention.
"You're Laurence's bodyguard. His enemies and business rivals all recognize you. If you accompany us, we'll actually be less safe."
"Mr. Laurence went to the airport to pick you up so publicly. His enemies definitely know about it by now. It wouldn't be safe for you and Mom to go out by yourselves.
"If you don't want bodyguards, then I'll accompany you."
After all, Noelle could fight.
Lilian could fight as well, though Noelle had never actually seen how skilled she was. She had only witnessed her mentor's torture methods. Lilian's prowess in martial arts was something she had only heard about.
If Lilian were going out alone, Noelle would not be worried.
After all, Lilian was a direct disciple of Doc. The Longbottom family's bodyguards and assassins probably could not do anything to her. Jane, however, was different. She could not handle those people.
Manny might not dare to actually kill Jane, but if she fell into his hands and was used to threaten Laurence, it would put Laurence in a very difficult position.
"No need. The two of us are just going out for a casual stroll. Don't worry. I can protect Jane."
