"Just look at me! I can eat anything I want, and I feel great."

The more Walter talked, the more it made perfect sense.

Walden actually found himself tempted.

"Where we live up on the mountain, the scenery is nice, and we do get fresh produce every day."

"But I've never actually worked the land."

"The fact that you've kept your vitality all these years might really have something to do with farming."

"I'll talk it over with my family and see if I can come stay in the country for a bit."

"But it'll have to wait until after my grandson's wedding."

"Walter, since you're already here, you should stay in Cabinda for a while. Don't leave until after the wedding."

"If you hadn't come, I know for a fact you'd have been too lazy to travel all the way here if I just sent an invitation."

"But since you made the trip, you can stick around for a few extra days, right?" Walter hadn't realized his old captain's grandson was getting married so soon. It would be incredibly rude of him to leave without attending the wedding now. "Alright, I'll have my son extend my hotel booking for a few days. I'll stay until the wedding is over."

Walden quickly waved him off. "Why would you worry about paying for a hotel?"

"You're in Cabinda. Let me play the host!"

Walter clearly didn't want to impose on his former superior.

Seeing this, Walden laughed. "If you don't want to inconvenience me, how am I supposed to have the nerve to inconvenience you later?"

"I've never farmed a day in my life. I'm going to be a huge bother when I visit."

"Alright! I won't be polite then." Walter agreed to let Walden handle the accommodations.

Walden immediately ordered his security detail to make the arrangements.

He was so thrilled that, had Claire not stopped him, he would have sent the guards to buy liquor so he and Walter could share a drink.

Ultimately, they substituted tea for alcohol, sharing a few cups over a plate of mixed nuts right there in the hospital room.

After finishing Walden's acupuncture session, Claire headed to General Darwin's room.

Harrison Darwin was out of the woods and had been moved from the ICU to a regular VIP room.

It was located quite close to Walden's suite.

Silas Darwin watched intently as Claire emerged from the other VIP room.

His eyes widened.

Despite the brutal warning from Dane, Silas still hadn't given up.

He had never taken Claire seriously To him, she was just a lowly doctor. He figured he could easily bend her to his will by throwing his weight around

Even when Dane suddenly intervened, Silas didn't view him as a real threat.

After getting humiliated, Silas had been plotting his revenge.

He was more determined than ever to get his hands on Dane's woman.

Who did that businessman think he was, challenging him?

Even if the old man died, a starving camel was still bigger than a horse the Darwin family still held

immense power.

Sooner or later, he would completely destroy Dane!

Claire felt her skin crawl under Silas's lecherous stare.

But she absolutely refused to show an ounce of fear in front of him.

She merely offered him a cold, indifferent look as she tried to walk past.

Silas wanted to block her path, but a n flash of memory about the agonizing pain between his legs stopped him content

He still didn't know what kind of dark magic this woman had used to render him impotent.

But the more helpless he felt, the more fiercely he refused to concede defeat.

"Dr. James," Silas drawled, the perfect picture of a middle-aged degenerate.

His arrogant posture practically begged for a beating.

"Do you need something, Mr. Darwin?"

Claire took a deliberate step back, putting distance between herself and Silas.

If it weren't for the security cameras lining the hallway, she would have struck him right then and there.

The man was utterly repulsive.
