Leia had reached her limit. The words she had been swallowing for weeks finally clawed their way out as she pushed Xavier away from her, her chest tight with misery. "You're still talking nonsense. Don't you realize that it matters to me? Don't you think you should discuss it with me? Or am I just a tool to you, so you feel you don't have to waste your time talking to me?"

Her voice cracked, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. She hated how fragile she sounded, but she couldn't help it. She hadn't accepted their breakup, not really. Deep in her heart, she kept hoping Xavier would explain himself—that they could finally sit down and untangle the mess between them. This trip had seemed like a perfect chance to have that honest talk. But instead of leaning in, he remained indifferent, as always. All he seemed interested in was sleeping with her, and that—that was something she simply could not accept.

Xavier’s face hardened. His voice was cold and careless as he shot back, "Leia, can you stop being so pretentious? Does it matter why I date you? It's fine as long as we're happy. If I'm infatuated with your body, it means I'm infatuated with you too. It's not like our souls are nobler than our bodies."

To him, this whole thing should have been simple. His philosophy on relationships had always been straightforward: meet someone, find physical compatibility, stay if it works, leave if it doesn't. He never became truly attached to anyone. There was no need for long emotional discussions or painful soul-baring. He simply enjoyed things that were easy and uncomplicated.

But Leia was not "simple." Leia was a mess he couldn't sort out—they both wanted more than the other was willing to give, and yet neither could truly let go. Perhaps Shirley was just a spark that ignited the explosion, but the real bomb had always been their clashing expectations and the silent chasm they refused to bridge.

Leia, however, was no longer in the mood for reflection. Rage flooded through her veins at his dismissive response. She grabbed a blanket and a pillow, glaring at him as if he were a snake.

"Fine," she hissed under her breath. "Then I'd rather sleep with the cows than with a scumbag like you!"

She stormed out of the room, marching all the way to the cowshed in the darkness. But the instant she pushed the door open, the heavy, pungent stench of cow manure and sour grass hit her like a wall. The smell was so overwhelming it practically burned her nostrils. She gagged, took one horrified look at the dirty straw and suspicious shadows, and made her decision: *absolutely not.*

Within a minute, she was storming right back into the room, humiliation burning in her cheeks.

There he was—Xavier, sprawled across the bed, breathing evenly. The man who had broken her heart, dismissed her feelings, and spoken of her as if she were nothing more than a lovely body to enjoy. He was sleeping soundly, blissfully unaware of the volcano towering over him.

Something inside Leia snapped.

"Sle ep on the floor, damn it!" she growled under her breath. Without an ounce of hesitation, she hurled the blanket and pillow directly onto him, then, with a burst of pure feminine vengeance, she shoved him and kicked him right off the bed.

Xavier—who had been deep in slumber—rolled off onto the floor with a dull and very undignified thump.

Leia didn't spare him another glance. She flopped onto the bed, dragging the blanket over herself, and huffed in satisfaction. *Serves him right.*

Morning arrived far too quickly. Xavier stirred in the cold morning light, groaning as he became aware that he was lying on the hard wooden floor like a discarded toy. His neck ached, and every bone in his back protested. For a man who had spent years in the lap of luxury—silk sheets, bespoke mattresses, and five-star service—this was nothing short of barbaric.

He rose stiffly, rubbing his sore neck, and cast a long look at Leia, who was still dozing peacefully between the sheets she had so shamelessly stolen. Part of him wanted to shake her awake; another part of him, perhaps wiser, simply let it go.

He pulled on his clothes and washed up as quietly as he could, trying to ease the stiffness out of his shoulders. Then, the knock came at the door—no gentle rap, but a full, enthusiastic assault of eager knuckles.

When Xavier opened it, he found the production team and the director of *Happy Days* standing outside, beaming like they’d struck gold. It seemed they had been waiting for him since the crack of dawn.

The director, Adam Jiminez, stepped forward with a dazzling, almost oily smile. "Mr. Stuart! Why didn't you tell us you were coming to visit? We were so busy preparing things for you..."

Xavier leaned against the doorframe, unimpressed. He had been surrounded by flattery his entire life; a few extra layers of honey didn't move him.

"Universal Entertainment is the biggest sponsor of *Happy Days*, so you're our benefactor," Adam continued, practically glowing with deference. "Do you have any new orders for the show? Please tell us, and we'll change it until you're satisfied."

Xavier's expression remained neutral, but he wasn't the type to waste good leverage. "There's indeed something you need to change."

Adam bowed slightly. "Please tell us, Mr. Stuart! We're all ears. We can even change it right now."

Xavier turned his neck slowly, wincing at the painful ache that kept shooting down his spine. "Pick a larger house next time, and get more guest rooms. I didn't sleep well last night—my neck is sore." He rubbed the offending muscles again, memories of being unceremoniously dumped onto the floor flashing through his mind.

Adam's face twisted in awkward embarrassment. "Umm... This is the best house in this village, though."

It was a confession of defeat. There was simply nowhere better to put the great Xavier Stuart. And so, the mighty CEO was stuck—stuck in a village with one humble house, a stubbornly furious woman, and a neck that seemed to be paying the price for every wound he had ever inflicted on Leia's heart.

## Reader's Impressions & Star Rating

Oh my, what a chapter! I absolutely adored seeing fierce Leia fight back in the most petty and satisfying way possible. Yes, it's heartbreaking to see two people who clearly care for each other keep tearing one another apart over unmet expectations—but watching her roll up her sleeves, storm off to a cowshed, dramatically return, and then *kick her billionaire ex-boyfriend onto the floor*? Pure gold. I laughed, I sighed, and I winced at Xavier's sore neck. The emotional layers here are deep: he claims he wants simple, body-level attachments, yet he stays around her—and she, despite her anger, can't truly walk away. Add that humiliated director at the door, and you have a perfect storm of romance, comedy, and wounded pride. This chapter earns a heartfelt round of applause from me.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 4.8 / 5 Stars

## Next Chapter Prediction

What will happen next? Xavier's ego has taken yet another beating, and Leia is clearly still carrying the weight of their unresolved feelings. I predict that the forced proximity of this show will push them into a real, unavoidable conversation—especially as Xavier starts noticing how much it stung to be literally and emotionally thrown aside. Plus, with the director hovering like a nervous puppy, another scandalous misunderstanding may be brewing. Something tells me Leia will finally confront him about Shirley again—but this time, Xavier may find himself saying something far more sincere than he ever expected.
