Hello everyone, it's me again! How are you all doing? Today I will continue to walk with you and review Chapter 11 of *Forgotten Wife: Let the Traitors Kneel Down*. This chapter is a quiet storm of emotions — a moment of pause before the next great adventure. It is filled with tender goodbyes, hidden pain, forbidden magic, and a flicker of something fragile growing between two unlikely hearts. So settle in, my friends, and let us walk through this emotional journey together.

The morning light crept through the windows, but for April, the day was heavy with worry. She spent the whole morning pacing around her room, her heart restless and her mind crowded with terrible images. The monsters had struck hard, and many were wounded — too many. April could feel their pain in her bones, and the worst part? She had the power to heal them, but she couldn't use it.
Alessandro had forbidden it.
He didn't want anyone to know that she possessed magic. For so long, April had believed she was a useless girl with no magic at all. And yet, the truth was far more dazzling and dangerous: she had magic, and it was powerful. Powerful enough to save lives. Powerful enough to make her feel alive. But no one could know. And so she sat there, stroking Koda's soft fur, drowning in a helplessness that made her chest ache.
A knock at her door broke through the storm of her thoughts. It was Maya.
"April, I'm Maya, can I come in?"
"Of course."
Maya entered, still bearing the marks of yesterday's battle. When April asked how she was, Maya gave a tired, half-hearted smile. "I'm fine, well a little sore. I got beaten up yesterday."
Those words were enough to send April to her feet. She pushed Koda aside and reached for Maya's hand. "Let me heal you."
Maya gently refused. "You don't have to do it. I'll be fine."
But April insisted with a heart so sincere it ached. "Please let me do it, otherwise I'll run out of this room to heal the first wounded person I find."
Maya saw the anxiety in her friend's eyes, the restlessness of a soul meant to help but bound in silence. April explained the truth — Alessandro had forbidden her from revealing her magic, and it left her feeling powerless and trapped. So she begged Maya to let her do at least this one thing.
Maya agreed.
April lightly squeezed her hand and let her magic flow. It was warm, gentle, almost like golden sunlight seeping through the skin. Maya gasped as the soreness melted away, the bruises vanished, and the exhaustion lifted from her body like a fog burning away at dawn.
"Your magic is incredible," Maya whispered. "I have never felt so good in my life."
"I'm glad I could help you."
But their tender moment shifted when Maya revealed the news: a new mission awaited. She was leaving — with Cassian and the two elves, Dantriel and Ethan — to find one of the keys to the gate of Hades. The two elves would guide them to the entrance of the land of the Fairies.
April was stunned. Alessandro hadn't told her anything. Perhaps he didn't have time. Perhaps he didn't want to worry her. Either way, the weight of this news crashed down on her.
"Come back," April said, hugging her friend tightly. "You're my first friend. I don't want to lose you."
Maya didn't answer. Not because she didn't care, but because something deep inside her whispered a dark truth she didn't dare speak aloud. This didn't feel like a "see you later." It felt like goodbye.
She hugged April back just as tightly. "I'm very glad to have met you. I also considered you a friend."
The door was already open, and Cassian stood there, watching the embrace. He hated to interrupt, but time was unforgiving. "Maya, we have to go."
They separated, but April's heart was full of worry. "Be very careful on your journey."
Maya smiled warmly and offered a truth that rang like quiet poetry. "Take care of yourself too. What's coming is not easy. No matter the adversity, or how dark the outlook looks, remember that the sun always rises in the end."
They shared one last embrace, and though Cassian insisted April didn't need to walk them out, she did anyway.
At the entrance, Ethan and Dantriel awaited them. When Ethan's gaze fell on April, his breath caught in his throat. For one fragile second, he thought he saw Sophia — the woman he had loved and lost, the woman whose soul was tangled with April's existence. It was only a fleeting fantasy, and it broke just as quickly as it came. This wasn't Sophia. This was her daughter, April, here to bid farewell to her friends.
Ethan wanted to approach her. He wanted to ask if Sophia could appear again, if only for a moment. But Dantriel caught his arm and anchored him to reality.
"Stop. She's not the one you love. She's not Sophia. You have to forget her, Ethan."
"I can't. Until she has completely disappeared — while a part of her soul is still with her daughter — I won't be able to forget her. I won't be able to stop loving her."
Dantriel's voice softened, heavy with understanding and painful truth. "I understand your feelings. But remember, you have never been her beloved."
Ethan's voice cracked like old wood. "I know. I repeat it to myself every day. But my heart still doesn't listen."
Dantriel had to hold him by the arm, to keep him from doing something reckless as April approached them. She thanked them sincerely for their help and wished them a safe journey. Then, with grace and sadness, she turned and walked away.
A teleportation scroll was unrolled. Magic flickered, wind whistled, and the world dissolved around them.
They appeared in a forest so dense that sunlight barely dared to touch the ground. The treetops were thick as woven shadows, and a cold gloom pressed down on everything. Cassian looked around, unimpressed. "Is this the land of fairies?"
Dantriel's answer was steady. "I told you — you can't get there using scrolls. We're just close. From here, we'll have to walk."
They walked for hours. The forest seemed endless, and darkness began to swallow what little light remained. When the sun fully set and the gloom wrapped around them like a cold blanket, they finally stopped to rest. They built a fire and huddled around it, grateful for the warmth.
But the cold was relentless, and Maya shivered.
Cassian noticed. Without a word, he took off his cloak and wrapped it around her shoulders.
Maya protested. "If you give me your cloak, you'll be cold."
"Don't worry about me," he said softly. "I'll be fine."
She gently gave it back, unwilling to leave him unprotected. "I can't keep your cloak."
But Cassian insisted. "You're shaking. Don't be foolish."
Then Maya surprised him. She stepped closer, wrapped her arms around him, and whispered, "Then hug me, and neither of us will feel cold."
Cassian's arms encircled her, and the firelight danced around them like a quiet witness.
From across the flames, Ethan couldn't help but ask the question that hung in the air. "Are you a couple?"
It was Maya who answered. "No. We're just close friends."
But as Cassian held her, as she braided her hair in the warmth of his embrace, Cassian couldn't help but wonder — would there ever come a day when Maya would look at him differently? Would there ever be a day when they could be something more than just close friends?
The flames crackled. The forest whispered. And their journey was only just beginning.

**Reader's Impressions & Star Rating:**
This chapter was a beautifully quiet moment before a storm. I loved watching April's inner conflict between obeying Alessandro and desperately wanting to use her magic to help others. Her friendship with Maya feels so genuine and warm, and the goodbye carried a heartbreaking sense of foreboding. Ethan's undying love for Sophia is both tragic and frustrating — his heart clings to a ghost who never loved him back. And Cassian and Maya? Their little moment by the fire made my heart flutter. Their intimacy was tender and unspoken, and you can feel that something deeper is slowly blooming between them. It's emotional, restrained, and full of meaning.
I rate this chapter ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 4.8 / 5 Stars.

**Next Chapter Prediction:**
The next chapter will likely throw our heroes into the mysterious and dangerous land of the Fairies. I think they will face trials and illusions, and Ethan may become a liability if his obsession with Sophia clouds his judgment. Meanwhile, Maya and Cassian's bond will be tested — perhaps a life-threatening moment will force them to finally confront their true feelings. Back home, April may grow more restless, and Alessandro will have to face the reality that her magic cannot be hidden forever.
