# Chapter 57: The Fairy Queen's Battlefield Demand
Hello everyone, it's me again! How are you all doing? Today, I will continue to walk with you and review Chapter 57 of "Forgotten Wife: Let the Traitors Kneel Down." This time, we step into the breathtaking world of the fairies, where April's freedom is suddenly clipped, and a queen's secret demand turns her stay into a dangerous obligation. Let's dive in.
After being led to a beautiful room decorated with colorful flowers and fine rugs, Narin handed April a set of clothes: brown linen pants, a green tunic, and a gold ribbon meant to tie around her waist. Her instructions were simple but firm—wear these clothes tomorrow and do not leave the room until further notice. April hated being restricted, and a wave of annoyance rose inside her.
"Am I your prisoner?" she asked.
Seeing no point in arguing, April sighed. "Fine. I won't go out."
Once Narin left, April let her frustration fade, and the world outside caught her attention. The fairy sky was incredibly beautiful. The stars seemed to hang much closer and shine with dazzling intensity, painting the heavens in shades of dark blue, purple, and soft pink. It looked like a painter's dream, too perfect to be real. For a moment, April wondered if she was truly standing in such a magical place.
But then her gaze drifted into the distance. Though she could not see anything, she felt a strange and frightening presence—a dark force filled with hatred and pure evil. She knew, deep down, that this was where the army her brothers were leading had gathered. A question suddenly invaded her mind: if her father had died, why were her brothers still fighting to get the key to the gate of Hades?
April sighed. She couldn't guess what her brothers were thinking, and there was no point in trying. She returned to the room and took off the uncomfortable dress she was wearing, slipping into a light white nightgown. Ever since she had arrived in the fairy lands, she had felt suffocated by the thick winter clothes from Cossets kingdom. Here, the climate was much warmer.
The bed was soft and pleasant, and the sweet scent of flowers filled the room, gently pulling her into sleep. That night, April dreamed of a girl again—a beautiful baby, cradled safely in her arms. When she woke the next morning, she wondered if those dreams meant she truly wanted to have a child with Alessandro.
A knock came at the door. Narin's voice greeted her warmly. "Good morning, are you awake?"
April got out of bed and answered. Narin carried a jug of water and poured it into a bowl near the table. "I brought water for you to wash yourself."
Then another fairy entered, with green skin and brown hair, carrying a tray of fruit, cookies, bread, jam, and what looked like orange juice. "And here is your breakfast."
A third fairy, with dark skin, purple eyes, and purple hair, arrived shortly after carrying a large jug into the next room. April wondered what it was for. Narin seemed to understand her curious expression and explained, "They are currently preparing your bath. Do you want to take your bath before breakfast?"
April was starving, since she hadn't eaten dinner the day before, so she shook her head. "I prefer to have breakfast first."
The fairies arranged everything neatly on a table beside the window. After washing her face, April ate until she was completely satisfied. Then she went to the bathroom, where the fairies insisted on helping her bathe and dress—even though April kept telling them it wasn't necessary.
Still, she loved the fairy clothes. They were light and comfortable, a welcome change from the heavy winter garments she had worn before. The fairies braided her hair with golden thread, which was lovely because it kept the hair off her face. When they finished, Narin said, "Please come with us."
April noticed they weren't heading toward Maya's room, so she asked, "Where are you taking me?"
"The queen requires her presence."
At that moment, April understood why the fairies had taken such care to make her look beautiful. "And what about the others? Have they also been summoned by the queen?"
"Yes, they should already be there."
That eased April's nerves a little. Knowing she wasn't going to face the queen alone made her feel calmer.
When she reached the throne room, April saw the queen dressed in clothes similar to theirs, with her hair braided with the same golden thread and decorated with pearls. The queen stood when she saw April. Fay, standing beside her, handed the queen a sword—one of the very weapons April had blessed the day before. April recognized it by the faint shine it gave off.
The queen began, "You have done a good job. The weapons you blessed are effective against the monsters born of darkness."
April got straight to the point. "Now that you've verified I've done my job, can we go?"
"No. I want your help on the battlefield."
"That was not the deal."
The queen smiled slyly. "I never said that I only wanted you to bless my weapons. What I asked for was your help. I never specified for what."
Ethan stepped forward, his voice urgent. "Your Majesty, she is not a warrior. We will help in your war. She can return to the human kingdom."
The queen shook her head. "I will not deny that your help is important, but I prefer the help of the one who finished off King Venobich and his army of monsters."
Ethan shot Fay a look of pure hatred and resentment, but Fay paid no attention, as if it had nothing to do with him. The fairy queen then turned her gaze back to April.
"I want you to fight alongside me on the battlefield."
April dared to ask, "Can I refuse?"
"Refusing is not an option."
"No, she will not be on the battlefield!" Cassian shouted, opposing the fairy queen directly.
But April knew she could not keep refusing the queen's wishes. If she continued to push back, she would end up achieving nothing. The queen had already pressured her enough the day before, and further resistance would only backfire. So April lifted her chin and accepted.
"Okay, I will participate in this war."
Cassian objected again, his voice filled with protest, but the decision had already been made. April was heading to the battlefield, whether the others liked it or not.
### Reader's Impressions & Star Rating
This chapter is a beautiful mix of fairy-tale magic and rising tension. I loved the vivid imagery of the fairy sky—the dark blue, purple, and pink hues felt almost dreamlike. At the same time, the chapter carries a heavy emotional weight: April's loneliness, her mysterious dreams of a baby, and the growing pressure from the fairy queen all blend together beautifully. The queen's clever manipulation is frustrating yet captivating, and Cassian's fierce protectiveness adds even more intensity. The ending leaves us on a thrilling cliffhanger, and I can't wait to see what happens on the battlefield.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 4.8 / 5 Stars
### Next Chapter Prediction
In the next chapter, I predict the fairy queen will lead everyone toward the battlefield, where April will finally come face-to-face with the army of darkness—and perhaps even her brothers. Cassian will likely try to shield her from danger, but April may prove that she is more powerful and determined than anyone expects. The mystery behind the key to Hades' gate may also begin to unravel, revealing the true purpose of her brothers' war.
