Silas struck Anna across the face with brutal force. "You are an adult. You are responsible for your own actions and your own words. Whether she manipulated you or not, you were the one who committed the act. The responsibility falls on you."
The slap was so powerful that half of Anna's face instantly swelled up, a trickle of blood leaking from the corner of her mouth.
She clutched her cheek, wailing in agony.
"You are an absolute monster," Silas spat, unable to muster even a shred of pity for his daughter. "How did the Vinton family raise such a heartless, vicious creature? You tricked Serena into a lethal car race to try and take her life, and I haven't even settled that score with you yet. And now, you dare poison your own grandfather?!"
"He is your grandfather! Your own flesh and blood who practically raised you!"
Silas had never been particularly affectionate toward his daughter, but he had spared no expense on her upbringing and education.
Furthermore, his parents had personally raised her. With the best tutors in the world, she shouldn't have turned out this twisted.
But it was undeniably clear now-Anna was rotten to her very core.
Clapping a hand over her bruised face, Anna sobbed hysterically. "Dad, I was the victim at the racetrack!"
"Serena played me! She tricked me into signing a Lethal Liability Waiver for that death race! I almost died on that track!"
"And... and she forced me to strip! She took humiliating photos and videos of me! My reputation is completely ruined! If those leak, the Vinton family will be the ones humiliated!"
Anna sounded profoundly wronged. "When Serena did all of that, she didn't care at all about the consequences it would bring to our family..."
"Dad, I'm your biological daughter! I've suffered so much, and she forced my hand! Why are you defending her?! That bitch wants to destroy me, she wants to destroy the Vinton..."
Anna didn't get to finish her sentence.
Silas delivered a backhanded slap that sent her sprawling onto the hard floor.
"A victim?" Silas sneered, his eyes, filled with pure disgust. "Being the loser doesn't make you the You orchestrated that death race because you wanted Serena dead
Douglas had already forwarded him all the security footage from the track.
"You lost the bet, and Serena simply forced you to honor it. That was her showing mercy. If she had decided to cripple your hands, I wouldn't have uttered a single word in your defense. Silas didn't see anything wrong with Serena's methods.
In fact, he deeply admired her ruthless efficiency.
Dazed by the consecutive blows, Anna lay on the floor, consumed by pain and grievances.
She looked up, realizing that the surrounding medical elites were staring at her like she was a repulsive cockroach. Their gazes were laced with apathy and revulsion.
Biting her lip, her absolute despair mutated into a deranged, consuming hatred.
"Fine... fine! You all protect her! You all take her side!" Anna screamed, her voice tearing. "What is so great about her. She's just a stray from the countryside! Ever since she
showed up, my life has been a living helf!"

"If she hadn't pushed me, why would I... why would I have ever hurt Grandpa? She forced me! This is all her fault!"
Silas was astounded that even now, she was still desperately pinning the blame on Serena. His expression turned lethal. "Anna Vinton!"
"It seems she still hasn't learned her lesson." Hearing her name screamed in such a deranged manner, Serena calmly stood up.
A dismissive smirk tugged at her lips. "What's the rush? I'm not done yet."
