Chapter 1186:
The mention of divorce froze him, his expression hardening instantly. He pulled his hand away in sharp disapproval. For her to raise separation in the middle of an argument was beyond infuriating.
Her palm moved protectively over her stomach as she wept, her voice barely audible. “I can give up the Dawson properties… but the child I carry belongs only to me.”
Brendon’s eyes widened in surprise and shock. “What? You’re pregnant?”
“Yes. I found out days ago. I wanted to give you joy after winning the competition—two pieces of happy news together—but I failed you…” Her sobs quivered pitifully, painting her as fragile and wronged.
Heavy guilt swept over Brendon and pushed him forward. He folded her in his arms, his voice dropping to a tender murmur. “Forgive me, Yolanda. I didn’t know. I let you suffer—I was cruel. This is all my fault.”
Yolanda nestled against him, a subtle smile ghosting her lips, concealed beneath her tears.
Her gamble had paid off.
A false pregnancy now would hold him, and the rest could be managed later.
In the living room of Dylan and Christina’s house—
“Close your eyes.”
Dylan’s features lit up with indulgence, his handsome face softening into a smile, his voice rich and magnetic as he spoke.
“Are you trying to be mysterious just to surprise me?” Christina asked, her smile radiant with delight. Her face shone with genuine joy, brimming with life.
Loving someone was like tending a fragile garden; a woman’s happiness revealed itself in her very demeanor.
Christina was flourishing, her spirit lifted high by the strength of love.

“Yes,” Dylan answered, carefully tying a blindfold over her eyes.
“No peeking,” he emphasized softly.
Christina let out a light giggle. “Why all the secrecy?”
“Just wait,” he murmured.
Once the blindfold was secure, Dylan gathered her effortlessly into his arms.
With her vision blocked, Christina could see nothing at all. The sudden lift startled her, and she instinctively wrapped her arms around him to steady herself.
“Why are you carrying me?” she asked in confusion.
“I don’t want you to get tired walking. And besides, I enjoy holding you,” Dylan said, his voice smooth and calming, the words carrying an extra sweetness.
Warmth crept to Christina’s ears, and a soft blush colored her cheeks.
His expressions of affection were becoming second nature to him.
Dylan carried her into the garage, where rows of gleaming luxury cars shone beneath the bright lights.
At the center stood a blazing red supercar, its body adorned with elegant ribbons.
