Chapter 1277:
“No,” Dylan said firmly, already reaching for his phone.
Christina answered almost instantly.
“Miss me?” she teased, her voice light and sweet, filled with shy joy.
A faint smile tugged at Dylan’s lips. “I sent you a gift. Go outside and take it.”
Just hearing her voice was enough to ease his pain. The fever still burned, but his heart felt warm again.
Christina noticed his voice was rough and frowned. “Are you sick?” she asked softly.
“It’s nothing serious. Just a small cold. I’ll be fine soon.” Dylan’s smile deepened, warm and reassuring.
Her concern made his heart soar.
“You need to take better care of yourself. Don’t overwork,” Christina said, her brows knitting in worry. “Have you taken any medicine? Did you see a doctor?”
She was so worried that she completely forgot about the gift Dylan had mentioned earlier.
Dylan chuckled. “Go on and take your gift first.”
“Alright,” she said, her tone turning playful. “But after I do, I’ll video call you to make sure you take your medicine.”
“Okay,” Dylan replied, smiling sweetly.
From the driver’s seat, Edwin caught Dylan’s bright smile in the rearview mirror. He wasn’t surprised anymore, but he couldn’t help sighing inwardly. Even the strongest had their weakness.
Christina had the cold and distant Dylan wrapped around her finger. She was the only person in the world capable of that.
Still talking to Dylan on the phone, Christina walked downstairs and out to the living room.
As she passed through the yard, she glanced toward the gate but saw no one. “There’s nothing outside. Could it be at the villa entrance?” she asked, frowning.

“No. Go to the front gate and see for yourself,” Dylan replied with a smile.
He sat waiting in the car, a large bouquet of red roses resting on his lap, his eyes fixed on the gate ahead.
Moments later, Christina appeared. She looked around, puzzled. “I only see a car…” she began, but before she could finish, the door opened and a familiar tall figure stepped out—Dylan.
Seeing him holding the bouquet, Christina froze. Her heart swelled, and her eyes shimmered with tears.
“Do you like this gift?” Dylan asked with a soft laugh.
“Yes… very much,” she said, her voice trembling. She hadn’t expected him to come himself.
Her joy overflowed like sunlight breaking through clouds.
