The moment has finally come. After hours of planning, three heavy books resting on her belly as her makeshift strategy desk, Millie is ready to strike back at the man who thought he could control and hurt her. Andrew screams in agony as the pepper spray hits his eyes with brutal precision — just three inches away, so there's no missing. She presses the nozzle a second time for good measure, turning her own head away to avoid the choking residue.

When she looks up, Andrew is clawing at his face, which is already turning a bright, angry red. His phone clatters to the floor, and Millie snatches it up with the careful precision of someone who knows she's on a ticking clock. She has exactly twenty seconds to execute the next part of her plan, and there's no room for error.

Her legs are wobbly — a reminder that she's still recovering from her ordeal — but they work. She slips out of that attic room before Andrew can recover his sight, and then comes the sweetest sound in the world: the click of the lock turning behind her. She pockets the key and takes a step back, heart pounding in her chest.

"Millie!" Andrew screams from behind the door, his voice a mixture of fury and disbelief. "What the hell?"

But Millie is already scrolling through his phone, her fingers shaking as she navigates to the settings and disables the lock screen. She knows he can see her through the camera — she can see him too, and she'll use that to her advantage.

"Millie!" His voice is a low growl now. "Let me out of here right now."

She takes another step back, even though she knows he can't reach her. "I'll let you out," she says calmly. "Just not yet."

This moment sends Millie back in time — to that terrible night years ago when she found Kelsey screaming, with that drunken football player on top of her. Duncan was laughing, and Kelsey was crying for him to get off. Millie's body had frozen for a second, rage filling her chest like fire. He was so much bigger than either of them — she couldn't pull him off. But her hands had found something else on that desk. A paperweight. And the feel of smashing it against that bastard's skull until he went still... that was almost worth all those years in prison. Because who knows how many other girls she saved from him that night?

Now, standing in Andrew's house with him locked in the attic, she feels that same familiar rush of power.

"You've got to be kidding me," Andrew sputters through the door. "This is my house. You can't keep me hostage here. And you're a criminal. All I have to do is call the police and you're right back in jail."

"Right," Millie says sweetly. "But how can you call the police when I have your phone?"

She watches him on the phone screen — his face red and tear-streaked from the pepper spray, frantically checking his pockets, then scanning the floor with his swollen eyes. He's trapped, and he knows it.

"Millie," he says, his voice controlled and measured. "I want my phone back."

Millie laughs — a hoarse, genuine laugh of satisfaction. "I'm sure you do."

"Millie, give me my phone back right now."

"Hmm. I don't think you're in any position to be making demands."

"Millie."

"Just a moment," she says, slipping his phone into her pocket. "I'm going to grab a bite to eat. I'll be back real soon."

"Millie!" His voice follows her down the hall, but it fades as she descends the stairs. She ignores him completely. There's nothing he can do locked in that room. And she has to figure out her next move.

---

True to her word, Millie heads to the kitchen. She drinks two full glasses of water — her body is still recovering from the dehydration and abuse — and then makes herself a proper bologna sandwich. Not abalone, bologna. With lots of mayonnaise and white bread. The comfort food settles her stomach, and finally, with food in her belly, she can think straight again.

She pulls out Andrew's phone and checks the feed from the attic room. He's pacing back and forth like a caged animal, a trapped predator. Millie shudders to think what he would do if she let him out now — a cold sweat breaks out on the back of her neck.

While she's watching, a text message pops up on the screen. From "Mom."

*Are you going to serve Nina with divorce papers?*

Curiosity gets the better of her. Millie scrolls through Andrew's previous messages and discovers that he's been telling his mother all about his falling-out with Nina. And now she has to answer — if she doesn't, his mother might show up at the house, and then everything would fall apart. Nobody can suspect that anything has happened to Andrew.

*Yes. Just speaking with my lawyer right now.*

The reply comes almost instantly:

*Good. I never liked her. And I always did the best I could with Cecelia, but Nina was extremely lax on discipline and the little girl became quite a brat.*

A jab of sympathy hits Millie right in the chest. It's bad enough that Andrew's mother never liked Nina, but to speak that way about her own grandchild? She wonders what kind of "discipline" Andrew's mother had in mind. If it's anything like Andrew's ideas, she's glad Nina never went through with it.

Her hands tremble as she types her reply:

*Looks like you were right about Nina.*

Then she pockets the phone. "Now I have to deal with that asshole," she mutters to herself.

Millie climbs the stairs to the second floor, then all the way up to the attic. When she reaches the top, the footsteps inside the room go silent. He's heard her coming.

"Millie," he says, his voice carefully controlled.

"I'm here," she says stiffly.

He clears his throat. "You made your point about the room. I'm sorry about what I did."

"Are you?"

"Yes. I realize now I was wrong."

"I see. So you're sorry?"

"I'm sorry." There's a pause. "I was absolutely wrong. I did an awful thing to you, and I will never do it again." Another pause, this one longer. "Will you let me out now?"

"Yes. I will."

"Thank you."

"Just not yet."

She watches him on the phone screen — he inhales sharply, anger flashing across his face before he schools it into something resembling calm. "Don't play this game, Millie. You don't have the stomach for it."

He has no idea. No idea whatsoever that she once beat a man to death with a paperweight. That she's already killed before. But Millie is betting that Nina knows. Nina, who looked at her with knowledge in her eyes. Nina, who clearly knew more about Millie than she was letting on.

"I want you to lie down on the floor and put those three books on top of you," Millie says.

"Come on. This is ridiculous."

"I'm not letting you out of this room until you do it."

Andrew lifts his eyes to the camera. Millie has always thought he had nice eyes, but right now there's pure venom in them. She reminds herself — he's not looking at her. He's looking at the camera. "Fine. I'll humor you."

He lies down on the floor. One by one, he picks up each book and stacks them on his abdomen, just as Millie did hours earlier. But he's bigger and stronger than she is, so even with all three books on top of him, he only looks mildly uncomfortable.

"Happy?" he calls out.

"Lower," she says.

"What?"

"Move the books lower."

"I don't know what you—"

Millie presses her forehead against the door, her voice dropping to a cold, dangerous whisper. "You know exactly what I mean."

Even through the door, she hears his sharp inhale of breath. "Millie, I can't—"

"If you want to get out of that room, you're going to do it."

She watches him on the screen. Slowly, painfully, he pushes the books down his chest until they rest squarely on his genitals. The mild discomfort is gone now — his face is frozen in a grimace of agony.

"Jesus Christ," he gasps.

Millie watches him suffer, and she feels nothing but cold satisfaction. "Good. Now stay that way for three hours."

---

And there you have it, dear readers — the most delicious, satisfying moment of revenge! Millie has turned the tables on her abuser in the most poetic way possible. She's made him feel just a fraction of what she felt — lying flat on his back, heavy books pressing down on him, helpless and afraid. The hunter has become the prey, and it is absolutely beautiful.

**Reader's Impressions & Star Rating:**

Oh, what a chapter! This is the moment we've all been waiting for — the sweet, satisfying taste of justice served cold. Millie's transformation from victim to victor is brilliantly written. I loved how she used every detail of her own humiliation as a weapon against Andrew, making him experience the same helplessness he forced upon her. The poetic symmetry of those three heavy books is just chef's kiss. My heart was racing the entire time!

Millie's psychological depth shines through here — she's not just cruel for the sake of being cruel; she's methodical, purposeful, and absolutely justified. And the flashback to Kelsey and the paperweight? Chilling and powerful. It reminds us that Millie has been capable of this all along; she's just been choosing patience.

The way she texted Andrew's mother using his phone was also cleverly done — and the cold revelation that Andrew's mother never liked Nina and called her own granddaughter a "brat" adds another layer of darkness to this twisted family.

This chapter delivers everything: action, tension, psychological warfare, and a deeply satisfying comeuppance.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 4.9 / 5 Stars

**Next Chapter Prediction:**

Oh, the tension is unbearable! Millie has three hours to figure out her next move while Andrew suffers in that attic room. I predict that in the next chapter, we'll see Nina return home — and the real truth will come out. Millie and Nina will finally confront each other, and we'll learn exactly what Nina knows about Millie's past. The question is: will they join forces to take down Andrew together, or will everything spiral out of control? And what about Adam, the cop who seems to be getting closer to the truth? With Andrew locked in the attic, the clock is ticking, and someone is bound to discover what's happening. I have a feeling this is building to an explosive climax where all secrets are revealed!
