Red. So much red. The water in the tub — once clear, once cloudy — is now deep crimson. Her eyes climb, and she finds the source: a gaping wound on Russell’s throat. Blood everywhere. And then she looks at his face. Slack jaw. Eyes staring straight ahead, unblinking.
Russell is dead.
Murdered.
