Hailey's eyes suddenly welled up with tears. She had known Jonah for years, and she had always wanted to marry him.

If it hadn't been for his persistence for the past three years, they would've already been torn apart by all those schemes and lies.

He had never once let go of her hand.

Just then, Justin walked over, asking, "Jonah, what are you doing here?"

Hailey quickly grabbed Jonah's muscular arm and said with a deliberate tone, "Mr. Pilsner brought me here to pick out some gemstones!"

Justin had never liked Hailey to begin with, and now, hearing her say that so casually made his face immediately scrunch up.

"Jonah, why are you still hanging around her?" he asked.

Jonah frowned. His sharp gaze carried both warning and a trace of cold displeasure.

"Justin, from now on, show Hailey the respect she deserves. If you can't even do that, then we can't even be friends."

"Jonah!" Justin called out.

Just then, Jonah's phone rang. He took his phone out and turned to Hailey.

"I need to take this call," he said.

Hailey nodded. "Go ahead."

Jonah left, leaving only Justin and Hailey behind.

With Jonah gone, Justin dropped all pretense. He looked at Hailey coldly and asked, "Ms. Hailey, why are you still clinging to Jonah? Do you really think this is something to be proud of

Hailey raised an eyebrow. She knew Joanne had completely brainwashed Justin.

She responded, "Justin, I think you've got it wrong. It's not me clinging to Mr.

Pilsner. It's him who won't let go of me!"

Justin snapped, "You—"

Hailey said, "That Kaia who looks so much like me? She's already been fired. You know that, don't you?"

Justin frowned. "I only just found out. That's why I came to talk to Jonah!"

To Justin, as long as it wasn't Hailey, it could be Joanne or even Kaia-anyone would be fine.

"Do you know why Mr. Pilsner fired Kaia? It was because she bought a fake diamond bracelet and claimed it was a gift from him. That's why he fired her!

"This morning, Mr. Pilsner took me to the mat to shop for jewelry. He bought all these things for me," she said pointing to a row of shopping bags nearly lined up on the display shelf.

Justin's expression had gone dark with rage.

She wasn't going to let it slide.

"Oh, and by the way, Mr. Pilsner just proposed to me," she said casually.

"What did you say?" Justin asked as his expression changed completely.

Hailey held out her hand, and the diamond ring on her finger sparkled brilliantly under the light.

"He bought me this ring, and proposed to me just now! All I have to do is say yes, and I'll officially become Mrs. Pilsner!" she said happily.

Hailey continued, "So, you'd better not mess with me."
