Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Mommy, Daddy Wants to Take You to the Amusement Park

Butler Shelby did not leave immediately; he hesitated by the desk, "This morning, just after you went to the company, your wife came over."

Justin Kingston raised his eyes, deep and shadowy, "..."

The butler avoided his gaze, feeling guilty yet respectful, "I was going to call you, but the madam didn’t allow it."

Justin’s deep eyes showed no emotion, "Looking for my wife?"

"What did she say?" After asking, he picked up the chopsticks and started eating noodles.

The butler simply recounted the conversation from this morning. It wasn’t really a betrayal of Mrs. Kingston; Butler Shelby just believed that Miss Lane was the only one who could bring joy to Mr. Kingston.

He hoped they would continue together, regardless of the truth or falsehood.

"I understand." Justin’s voice was deep.

Butler Shelby bowed and left the study, feeling relieved after informing Mr. Kingston.

Not long after the butler left, Justin set down the noodle bowl and picked up his phone to call his mother.

Upon connection, without waiting for her to speak, Justin’s thin lips parted, "Mom, if you trouble Mia Lane again, I assure you Monica Usher will be kicked out of the company."

He hung up right after speaking.

In the Clearwater Bay villa, Kristina Kingston furiously smashed her phone!

She also casually knocked over a set of limited edition tea sets on the coffee table!!

Mary turned pale with fright, "Madam! No!" She couldn’t stop her!

In the quiet study, Justin ate noodles; he rarely spoke to his mother like this. What was going on with him? To do this for Mia Lane.

"Mommy, I think Daddy has fallen for you."

"No, no!" Mia quickly set her son down, staying rational, "Inviting me to an amusement park? You must have heard wrong, right? I’m not a child; isn’t he taking you guys?"

"Last time you made him chicken soup, so he wants to thank you!" Gigi said, "Or maybe you’ve been cooking noodles for him recently!"

If what the kids were saying was true, then Mia Lane couldn’t dislike this cold and overbearing man!

"Mommy, trust us! We never lie!"

Not wanting to disappoint the kids, she tried on the outfit; it was a perfect fit.

The children were delighted, "Have fun tomorrow!"

She told them stories and coaxed them to sleep, as usual.
