LIVIA-
We played volleyball again.
This time Eden was on Roman’s team.
I was pissed. She touched him every chance she got. Hand on his arm after every point. Fingers at his bag when they rotated. Laughing up at him like the net was a photoshoot. She was marking her territory the entire time and I hated I couldn’t do the same because I had to hide my true feelings around my family. Especially my brother.
I hated every second of this and I knew Roman could tell. He kept looking at me, waiting for me to lash out. I could see the panic in his eyes.
This was intentional. She looked at me when she did it. Not always. Enough times.
I could not hide the jealousy. I missed easy balls because I was too busy glaring at Roman every time he le her touch him.
Ethan noticed.
“Your head is not in the game.”
I rolled my eyes. “Why did you have to invite Eden?”
He blinked. “What’s wrong with Eden?”
He then looked at her as though he was worried she heard us talking about her.
I sighed. “You are so freaking blind.”
He stayed confused and served anyway.
After that it was not really a team sport. It was Eden and me. She went up for everything. I went up harder. She brushed Roman’s wrist. She stood too close when he set. She said his name like a claim.
Roman kept saying her name like a warning she refused to hear. Tessa yelled rotations nobody followed. Blair sat out again, one hand on her stomach, watching me like she knew this was not about volleyball.
1 Eden missed a ball on purpose so she could put her palm on his chest, laughing as she whispered “sorry, | baby.”
I heard it. I was meant to hear it. Heat crawled up my neck. Last night he had been in my bed. This morning she was on his team. I smashed the next serve like it had her face on it. Truly, why couldn’t it have hit her in the mouth?
The last point was mine. I jumped. I hit and then watched the ball get buried in the sand on their side and Blair screamed from her chair, loud enough for us all to hear.
“That is my sister! Go Olivia! Your niece or nephew is very proud!”

The Hockey Captain’s Unwanted Wife
Eden’s smile had gone tight. Roman was looking at me, jaw locked, like he wanted to drag me off the court.
id not stay for the gloating.
I stormed toward the outdoor shower, sand still on my legs, still in a fight mood.
Roman was mine. Not hers. Mine.
I needed water. I needed a door. I needed not to see Eden’s hands on him for five minutes.
I stepped in and turned around. Surprised at what I saw waiting for me.
Roman was already there.
I narrowed my eyes. “What is your girlfriend doing here?”
He ran a hand through his black hair. “My parents set the whole thing up.”
“What does that mean?”
“Don’t worry about that.” His voice dropped. “Ignore Eden. She isn’t important.”
How could his girlfriend not be important? And what did his parents have to do with this?
“It’s kind of hard to ignore her when she’s touching you up all the time.” Jealousy made my lips tremble. “I hate seeing her so close to you. Do you understand how that makes me feel?”
He pushed me into the stall and locked the door before I had a chance to respond.
Then he dropped to his knees.
What was happening?
I did not get a full sentence out. He hooked my bikini aside and put his mouth on me like this was supposed to stop the argument.
Oh.
If that was his plan, it was working.
His tongue thrust in, deep, greedy, the same way it had on the sand.
I lost my mind. My eyes rolled back into my head.
I wanted to scream from the pleasure of it.
He pushed two fingers into my mouth, as though to stop me from making noises that could get us both caught.
I bit down on them to keep from screaming.
He groaned into me and kept going, eating me like he was trying to erase Eden’s hands with his mouth.
My back hit the wall. My hair stuck to my neck. He held my thigh over his shoulder and thrust into me

until my knees went useless.
alousy was still there. Heat swallowed it. His tongue on my pussy. Two fingers of his other hand sliding inside, curling, fucking me while I bit the ones in my mouth.
“Roman-” It came out muffled around his knuckles.
He did not stop. He sucked. He growled. He ate me like the woman on the sand did not exist.
Like last night’s rule still held and this was the only language he was allowed.
I came hard, shaking, eyes wet, the sky a bright square above us. I bit his fingers harder. He swore against my pussy and licked me through it until I had to push at his hair.
He stayed on his knees for a second, breathing against my thigh before he left a soft kiss there.
I gasped.
Someone laughed nearby.
I could hear Eden’s voice, too bright. She had one of those high-pitched voices that traveled far.
He stood. He pulled my bikini back into place with his hands. His mouth was wet. His eyes were dark.
“Ignore her,” he said again. “For me.”
I sighed. “I will try.”
He unlocked the door and left first.
I stayed under the water until I could walk back onto a beach where Eden still thought she had a claim on my Roman.
I couldn’t wait for the day that I could prove her wrong. That I could announce to the world that Roman and I were…what exactly?
