Chapter 1124:
Naomi watched him drive off and spat on the ground with disdain. “Bah! Shameless man!”
Naomi looked down on Brendon. He already had a fiancée, yet he still came sniffing after his ex-wife. Back when they were still married, he had never cherished Christina, choosing instead to betray her with another woman. Now he had the audacity to come pestering Christina again. No matter who stood by his side, he always had one eye fixed on other women.
Naomi got out of the car, walked ahead, and stopped in front of Christina, her anger simmering. “Christina, men like that are disgusting. You should make him vanish from this world soon!”
“Naomi! Don’t spout such nonsense,” Leona snapped in alarm, tugging her daughter back at once. If her daughter didn’t learn to hold her tongue, one careless word could land them in real trouble. Fortunately, Christina was someone they could trust. Otherwise, her staged murder of her husband might have been exposed and used to threaten her by now.
“Mom, I was only saying,” Naomi muttered, pouting and lowering her voice.
“From this moment on, you must never speak so recklessly about such matters,” Leona warned sharply. Her heart pounded at the thought of Naomi blurting out what should never be revealed.
“Don’t worry, Mom. I’m not foolish. I know what to keep quiet about,” Naomi reassured her with a small smile.
“Good,” Leona sighed, though the weight on her chest remained.
“Miss Frazier, your mother is right. Some things are better left forgotten,” Christina advised gently.
“Okay!” Naomi nodded quickly in agreement.
Leona, however, was already weaving another plan in her mind. She intended to sell off everything she owned and take her daughter abroad. No secret could be hidden forever, and she feared the day someone might plot against her and her daughter, exposing her murder of her husband and landing her behind bars. She had to act before that day came.
“Miss Jones, I’m planning to sell all my property. Would you be interested in taking it over? I’m willing to let it go at a very low price,” Leona said, her voice steady though her thoughts were turbulent.

At first, Leona had hesitated. But after witnessing her daughter’s careless demeanor just now, she became convinced it was the right choice. They might guard secrets while awake, but what if they were drugged, not thinking clearly? There was no guarantee someone wouldn’t one day scheme against them.
“Mom! Why do you suddenly want to sell everything?” Naomi asked, her face full of shock and confusion.
Leona stroked her daughter’s hair with tender affection. “Naomi, let’s go abroad together.”
“Mom, why this sudden idea of leaving the country? We’re living so well here…” Naomi asked, unable to grasp the weight behind her mother’s decision.
