Second Chances in New Port Stephen - Chapter 112

After, a much-needed quiet enveloped the bedroom. Eli was as boneless as a house cat, going
where Nick arranged him without much complaint. He made a pillow out of him, resting his
head on Eli’s chest, the rise and fall of it lulling him into a state of complete relaxation. They
were still sticky, but Nick couldn’t be bothered to get up yet. He twined his limbs around Eli and
drifted for a long span of minutes.
“I—” Eli’s voice croaked into the quiet eventually. “Really. Enjoyed that.”
Nick hummed in agreement. “Want to go again?” He thought it polite to offer.
Eli, thankfully, scoffed at the idea. “Are you kidding? I’m not seventeen anymore.”
“Thank god.” Nick melted even more atop his—boyfriend. Yeah, boyfriend. “I think I pulled
something in my back toward the end there.”
“Oh, my joints will for sure complain about this tomorrow,” Eli murmured. He turned his head
enough to press a kiss into Nick’s hair. “Want a rubdown?”
“I thought we agreed round two isn’t going to happen,” Nick teased.
“You know I meant a massage.” Eli hit him on the arm and flipped their positions, propping
himself on his elbows. “Now turn over.”

Nick obligingly rolled onto his stomach, pillowing his chin on his folded hands. “You don’t have
to,” he said.
“Shut up. I want to.”
Eli’s hands were surprisingly gentle on his back, sweeping over the planes of Nick’s scapula,
tracing along his spine. His fingers pressed into the sore muscles at Nick’s lower back, and Nick
groaned in relief. He hadn’t been joking before; he really wasn’t going to come again tonight,
but a low hum of desire still pooled in his belly. It felt good just to be touched like this, like Eli
was handling something precious.
“Ooh, that’s a bad knot.” Eli’s voice sounded like it was coming from miles underwater. His
thumbs dug in where Nick’s neck met his shoulder. At first there was pain, but soon Nick felt the
stubborn muscle unwind under Eli’s hands.
“That feels so good,” he mumbled into the sheets.
Eli left off the massage and draped himself over Nick’s body, resting his cheek at the base of
Nick’s neck. “You feel good.”
Nick could feel the heat of his skin, the damp of his sweat, the mess they were making of the
sheets. The desire in his stomach expanded and sighed but didn’t sharpen into anything urgent.
“We’re so old,” Nick said, his body shaking with silent laughter.
“Yeah.” Eli let out a long breath along Nick’s skin. “Isn’t it great?”
It was, actually.
